OLMC offers Extended Care for all grades

After School Care

Home Student Life After School Care

Extended Day/A Kid’s Place

Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School offers extended care for all students. There are two separate programs: Extended Day for Preschool and TK students and A Kid’s Place for grades K-8.

Extended Day

Extended Day is our extended care program for students in Preschool & TK, offering after-school care until 5:30pm on Monday through Friday. This program is designed specifically for our littlest Padres; they will spend their afternoons in the TK room and OLMC playground. Because Extended Day is a licensed program, OLMC must follow all the regulations of the California Department of Social Services: the group will be limited to 15 students, a licensed Teacher and Aide will care for the children, and all other health and safety regulations will be carefully followed. Extended Day will be a unique program, separate from A Kid’s Place, which serves our K-8th grade students.

Pricing and Reservations for Extended Day:

  • Reservations will be made on a first-come, first-served basis, prioritizing 5-day requests.
  • Parents will be asked to make a reservation commitment for a specific day(s) of the week.
  • The Extended Day fee will be added to your FACTS tuition payment plan.

A Kid’s Place

A Kid’s Place is our extended care program for students in grades K-8, offering before school care from 7:15–7:45am and after-school care from 12:50-5:30pm on Wednesday and 3-5:30pm Monday,Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. A child can be enrolled for:

  • Full-time care for a flat fee, or
  • Part-time, drop-in, care for an hourly fee.

Full Time Care

Full time care students may use the center from 7:15 am to 7:45 am; 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm and 12:50 pm to 5:30 pm on minimum days. There is a late pick up fee of $25.00 for every 15 minutes or fraction of after 5:30 pm. Non-payment of fees will result in a loss of space in our program. A Kid’s Place is closed the first week of school, and the last day before major vacations; such as Christmas, Easter, Last Day of School, etc. Please see school communications for specific calendar information. A KID’S PLACE IS CLOSED WHENEVER SCHOOL IS CLOSED AND THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL.

Part Time Care

Drop in care is on a reservation format or as needed on a daily basis. Parents need to fill out a monthly calendar prior to the month in which care is given or parents must call the day that care is needed. The first calendar will be sent in August. Parents must pay for the entire hour although they may need only a portion of said hour. If your child is absent on a day that you have reserved, you must notify the center of this absence. If you fail to cancel a day that you have reserved, you will be charged 2 hours of care. There is a late pick up fee of $25.00 for every 15 minutes or fraction of after 5:30pm. Non-payment of fees will result in a loss of space in our program. A Kid’s Place is open for Drop-In care all school days with the exception of the Thursday before the Festival and the last day of school. A Kid’s Place is closed the first week of school, and the last day before major vacations; such as Christmas, Easter, Last Day of School, etc. Please see school communications for specific calendar information.
