Service Learning/Community Outreach
As a Catholic community we inspire our students to share in the life of Christ. We provide an educational environment with service learning objectives which will strengthen the spiritual and social values of the students.
Lent 2021 - Sister Parish Project
Our Lenten Project is co-sponsored by grades 2 and 5 and supports our sister school in Tanzania. Students are able to purchase a free dress pass for $5 (or you may donate more if you’re feeling extra generous) that enables them to wear free dress for the whole week of March 29th-April 1st. Distance Learning Students may also wear free dress at home if they purchase a free dress pass. Students may either bring in their cash donations to their homeroom teachers or parents may indicate that they want to be charged for the donation on FACTS. If your child would like to purchase a free dress pass to support this charity drive, please complete this Google Form by Friday, March 26th. If you have any questions, please contact Megan Andreano, Emma Maas, or Meaghan Osborne. Thank you in advance for your generosity and support!

Mission and Purpose
Our Lady of Mount Carmel students are expected to live with integrity and love like Jesus, becoming involved in their surrounding world and responding compassionately to those in need.
Our successful Community Outreach Program began in 1992. The monthly projects consist of organizing school-wide drives for several organizations that assist people in need locally, nationally and internationally.
The project has two primary goals: to teach the importance of community involvement to our students and to encourage the practice of religious values while helping people in need. Each grade sponsors one outreach drive that involves coordinating the activity for the entire school and incorporating it into their curriculum. Often the organizations that we support send representatives to speak with students about their particular role in the community and the challenges they face.
