I am the school mental health counselor and have been a part of the OLMC community for the past eight years. One of the things I love most about OLMC is the strong sense of community you feel the moment you walk through the doors and the genuine feeling of family that our school embodies. I am especially grateful for the opportunity to support students as they navigate challenges—whether at school, with friends, or at home—and to help them discover their strengths and true potential during difficult moments. It is important to me that every student who walks into my office feels safe, heard, and validated. Much of my work is grounded in the teachings of Carl Rogers, with a focus on self-acceptance, empathy, and personal growth.
I feel deeply honored that not only our students, but also our families, trust me to help them navigate some of the most challenging times in their lives. Witnessing our students work through adversity and emerge feeling confident, resilient, and capable is incredibly rewarding. OLMC does an amazing job prioritizing social-emotional health, recognizing the profound impact it has on student success. Through programs like Second Step and our commitment to mental health counseling, OLMC truly supports the development of the whole child.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my two daughters, Madison and Avery, my husband, and our Australian Shepherd, Scout. I enjoy coaching my girls’ soccer teams, leading Avery’s Girl Scout troop, and volunteering at their school.
