I am the Learning Specialist, supporting students across grades Kâ8 in ways that meet them where they are. In kindergarten through fifth grade, I provide push-in support alongside classroom teachers, and in grades six through eight, I offer pull-out support to target specific learning needs. My role is grounded in building trust, confidence, and a sense of safety so students feel comfortable taking risks and growing as learners.
What I enjoy most about this work is watching students rediscover joy in school. I love seeing them reach their full potential and feel proud of themselves again. I collaborate closely with classroom teachers and families through regular communication and meetings, working together to understand how each student learns best and how we can best support them.
I am especially excited to help students grow into confident self-advocates who believe in their own abilities and are comfortable asking for what they need. Our school is a truly supportive place for all learners because the teachers are constantly reflecting, adjusting their practice, and doing whatever it takes to help students succeed. Their commitment to growth and persistence makes a real difference.
