Hi! I’m Mrs. Galarza, the 5th grade teacher. I have been part of the Mount Carmel school community for five years teaching 5th grade, but also spent several years working as an aide and at Kid’s Place. OLMC is especially close to my heart– not only is it where I teach, but it is also where I attended school as a third generation Padre, and where my own child attends school. What I love most about Mount Carmel is the strong sense of community among students, families, and staff. I was inspired to become a teacher by my own OLMC teachers, who modeled care, high expectations, and meaningful relationships. In my classroom, I strive to create a welcoming, positive environment with high standards, where every student feels respected and capable. I value strong partnerships with families and love watching students grow as readers, writers, critical thinkers, and emerging leaders.
