Hello! I am Ms. Hussey and I am the 4th grade teacher here at Our Lady of Mount Carmel! I have been a part of the school community for the past eight years. I truly love the close-knit community, teachers, students, and the amazing families that I get to work with each day. Growing up in the Bay Area has sparked my lifelong love of nature—especially the ocean—which continues to inspire me both inside and outside the classroom. In my teaching, I strive to provide students with a strong foundation in the core subjects while also nurturing their growth as empathetic, thoughtful human beings. I place a strong emphasis on helping students become critical thinkers and confident problem solvers who are curious, ask questions, and aren’t afraid to try new approaches. My hope is that my students leave the classroom with a genuine love of learning, a clearer sense of who they are, how they want others to see them, and a deep appreciation for caring for one another and our environment.
